What is Race to Innovate?
Race to Innovate 2.0 is a hands-on design competition organized by Diseño Divino — UI/UX Design Club, NMIT Bengaluru, focused on Brandkit Development.
Participants work in teams to design a complete, professional brand identity for a given company profile. The event encourages creativity, structured design thinking, and real-world branding skills.

Build a Brandkit
Design a complete, professional brand identity for a given company profile — from scratch.
Real Company Brief
Each team receives a real company profile with name, industry, audience, and description to brand.
Team Up
Work in teams of 1–4 members. Collaborate, think, and create together under a time constraint.
Design Tools
Use Figma, Canva, or any design tool you're comfortable with to craft your brand identity.
Who Can Participate?
Team Size
Teams can consist of 1 to 4 members. Solo participants are welcome too!
Who Can Join
Open to ALL students who are interested in design and branding — any branch, any year.
Tools Required
Basic familiarity with design tools like Figma or Canva is expected. No coding required!
Format
The event will be conducted offline, on-campus at NMIT Bengaluru.
Brandkit Deliverables
Each team is expected to submit a professional brandkit containing ALL of the following components.
📋 Event Format
- Each team will be provided with a company profile (name, industry, description, target audience).
- Teams must design a complete brandkit for the assigned company within the given time.
- Final submissions must be presented to the judging panel.
Logo Design
Primary logo + optional variations (monochrome / icon version).
Color Palette
Primary and secondary colors with HEX codes clearly defined.
Typography System
Heading and body fonts with usage guidelines.
Brand Guidelines
Tone, personality, Do's & Don'ts for brand consistency.
Brand Applications
Social media post, business card / letterhead / poster (one or more). Optional: packaging mockup.
Final Presentation
A clean presentation board or slides summarizing the complete brandkit.
Judging Criteria
Teams will be evaluated by a panel of judges across 6 parameters totalling 100 points. The decision of the judges is final and binding.
Brand Relevance & Clarity
How well does the brandkit align with the given company profile? Is the identity clear and appropriate?
Creativity & Originality
How original and creative is the brand identity? Does it stand out in a meaningful way?
Consistency
Are all brand elements consistent across the logo, colours, typography, and applications?
Completeness
Has the team submitted all required brandkit deliverables as specified in the brief?
Professional Quality
How polished and professional is the overall design quality and presentation?
Visual Hierarchy & Layout
Is the final submission well-organised with clear visual hierarchy and effective layout?
